St. Charles is a large-scale blue ammonia project located on the lower eastern side of the Mississippi River, Louisiana. It will be located next to the IMTT terminal, through which it has access to liquid docks.
St. Charles will be build in two phases and will turn natural gas into blue hydrogen via an autothermal reformer, where it will capture 99% of the direct CO2, after which it will be further processed into blue ammonia through the Haber-Bosch loop.
